If the early betting odds mean anything, Super Bowl LIV is anyone’s game. The Kansas City Chiefs are just barely favored over the San Francisco 49ers in their upcoming meeting on Feb. 2 in Miami.

According to OddsShark, the betting line is down to one point at various online sportsbooks. Since the conclusion of the 2020 AFC and NFC Championship Games, the Chiefs have moved back and forth between one-point and 1.5-point favorites at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

Both FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook list the point spread at 1.5 with nearly two weeks remaining until the NFL’s title game.

Sportsbooks give Kansas City anywhere from a -118 to a -128 moneyline. San Francisco’s odds to win straight up range from +108 to even.

The Super Bowl total has seen the biggest change since the matchup was made official. The over/under has shot up to 54 after opening at 52.5 at online sportsbooks. Some Las Vegas sportsbooks had the total at 51.5 Sunday night, but the betting public is expecting a lot of points to be scored.

The Chiefs covered the spread in both of their playoff games. Kansas City came back from a 24-0 deficit in the divisional round to defeat the Houston Texans 51-31. The Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans 35-24 in the AFC Championship Game, scoring at least 23 points for the 17th time in 18 games this season.

Patrick Mahomes has 11 passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns and no interceptions in four career playoff games.

The 49ers have covered two large point spreads this postseason, beating the Minnesota Vikings 27-10 and the Green Bay Packers 37-20. San Francisco is an underdog for the first time since visiting the New Orleans Saints in Week 14.

Jimmy Garoppolo has only thrown for 208 yards this postseason.

The Super Bowl point spread is less than a field goal for the second straight year and the fourth time in seven years.
