Week 9 presents a pair of intriguing NFL matchups that might be looked back upon late in the postseason. The Los Angeles Rams travel to New Orleans to face the Saints, in a battle of top NFC teams. The New England Patriots host the Green Bay Packers in the Sunday night game.

All four teams have been considered top contenders to win the Super Bowl. According to betting site Vegas Insider, the Los Angeles Rams are the favorites to win the Super Bowl at 3/1. The Patriots are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the second-best odds at 6/1, while the Saints have the fourth-best odds at 7/1.

The Packers, meanwhile, have become a major longshot. Green Bay has worse odds (40/1) than their division rivals: the Minnesota Vikings (16/1) and Chicago Bears (25/1). A road win over New England would likely boost their favor with oddsmakers.

Entering the season, the Packers were tied with the Vikings for the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl. The Patriots were the favorites, the Rams had the third-best odds and the Saints had the seventh-best odds. The Rams and Saints have overachieved in many experts' minds, as Los Angeles is undefeated after eight games, while New Orleans has a 6-1 record.

The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, meanwhile, have the eighth-best odds (20/1) to win the title. The last time a team repeated as Super Bowl champions was New England in 2005.

Among the more intriguing odds is where the Los Angeles Chargers stack up. Competing in the AFC West with the Chiefs, the Chargers have 16/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl. Entering the season, the Chargers were tied with Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars for eighth with 20/1 odds.

The San Francisco 49ers had entered the season with the eleventh-best odds but now have the worst odds (2,500/1) in the league.
