Super Mario Odyssey takes Mario to new heights on Nintendo Switch. Here’s everything you should know about the game before it arrives. Super Mario Odyssey releases Oct. 27 on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo

Two of the biggest games of the year are releasing Friday — users will soon be able to start downloading “Super Mario Odyssey” and “Wolfenstein II” soon. In case you did not place a pre-order for the games online, you can still buy them.

Both the games are available for Nintendo Switch owners. Post the Switch 4.0 update, they can even play the games as soon as they launch using pre-downloaded versions. However, in case you haven’t gotten around to pre-ordering these games, there are other alternatives.

You can head to GameStop and get your hands on the games or even order online from Amazon. While the games were earlier available with a 20 percent discount for $49.99, you can now order it for a slightly higher price — Amazon is offering “Super Mario Odyssey” for $59.88 and “Wolfenstein II” for $59.96. The retail giant is also offering the “Wolfenstein II Collector’s edition” for Xbox One, PS4, and PC for $99.96.

You may also get a bigger discount if you are willing to trade-in some of your games.

Best Buy is offering “Super Mario Odyssey” for $59.99 with a free Mario Cap Coin. If you are a member of the Best Buy My Gamers Club, you may get 20 percent discount on the game.

“Wolfenstein II” is available for the same price from the retailer but with a digital download add-on.

In case you want to head to a GameStop, the “Wolfenstein II Collectors’ Edition” is available for $99.99.

Both “Super Mario Odyssey” and “Wolfenstein II” may be the biggest releases of 2017 since both are highly sought out games due to their narratives. “Super Mario Odyssey” will mark a change in gameplay for Mario since the character will be able to morph into different forms, including a dinosaur. According to Polygon, “There is a very real chance that it [Super Mario Odyssey] is the last game with this incarnation.”

Gradually, during the course of the game, Mario loses himself as he tries to possess others. Not only that, there is no sign of Mario’s brother Luigi’s emergence in the game. The game also includes Mario’s original romantic sweetheart Pauline, who is now the mayor of donk.

In case you are in New York City, you can head to the event and get your hands on the game at the Nintendo NY event in Rockefeller Center at 12:00 a.m.

There is no multi-player version of the game available.

“Wolfenstein II” is a graphic intense first-person shooter game, which has engaging gameplay shot frame to frame. Since the game is graphics intensive, it is recommended to have some space on your hard drive before you install it.
