It’s a baby girl for “Supernatural” actor Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester on The CW series. The former “Gilmore Girls” star welcomed their third child, a girl named Odette Elliott Padalecki, on Friday, March 17. However, the new father announced the good news to fans on Monday via Instagram.

Jared and his wife shared a snap of their baby girl and took advantage of the joyous occasion to raise money for two causes – planned parenthood and human rights campaign. Genevieve collaborated with a brand called Pop & Suki to release a very limited edition of leather hearts that can be monogrammed. It can be customized to include any name. It is available in pink, black and blue. The fonts and the text color can also be customized. You can purchase it here.

Odette is Jared and Genevieve’s third child. She joins two older brothers, Thomas Colton, 5, and Shepherd, 3.

Jared had announced the news of his wife’s pregnancy to Kelly Ripa on “Live With Kelly” back in November. The “Supernatural” actor had stated that he was expecting his third child in March.

The 34-year-old actor met his wife on the set of “Supernatural.” The Texas-born artist is a family man. As soon as the show completes shooting in Vancouver, he heads straight to Austin to spend time with his family. The Padaleckis, now a family of five members, enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors. They even have two dogs, Arlo and Sadie. Sadie, their oldest pup, turned 14 about three weeks ago.

“Supernatural” is currently in its twelfth season. In its most recent episode, airing on Thursday, March 30, Claire Novak (Kathryn Love Newton) returns when Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam and a member of the British Men of Letters hunt a werewolf.

“Supernatural” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
