Sydney Sweeney reacted to her double nomination at the 2022 Emmys in a new interview.

The 24-year-old actress was shocked upon learning that she secured two nominations from the Television Academy for her work on “The White Lotus” and “Euphoria.”

Sweeney was revealed to be a two-time Emmy nominee for best supporting actress in a drama (“Euphoria”) and in a limited series (“The White Lotus”) during Tuesday’s announcement of the Emmy nominations.

Following the announcement, the actress did an interview with Variety and opened up about her recent achievements.

“I’m honestly kind of out of words. I don’t know what to say,” Sweeney said of receiving two Emmy nods.

She revealed that the entire cast of “The White Lotus,” which bagged a whopping 20 nominations, were “cheering each other on in our group chat” because they were “so excited to be able to [share] this moment with each other.”

“It’s such a beautiful and lovely cast and experience that we had. So it’s great to see good people get to enjoy this,” she added.

Sweeney won’t return for the second season, which will be shot in Italy, so she was “a little bummed.” However, she expressed interest in rejoining the cast for future seasons. She even shared that she wants the show to film in Spain, Japan or Africa when she gets the chance to come back.

As for “Euphoria,” the show and its cast got a total of 16 nominations, three of which are for its lead star Zendaya, who previously won the Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her portrayal of the young drug addict Rue.

Sweeney revealed in the interview that she and the rest of the “Euphoria” cast are reuniting soon to film the third season. She shared that she really likes her role as Cassie because she loves the challenge that comes with it.

“We will all be getting back together soon. I don’t know if I can actually say when, but soon. I’ve fallen in love with Cassie, and she’s on such a crazy roller coaster,” the actress told the magazine.

She continued, “I selfishly hope that she might still be on the ride, it’s really fun for me to be able to stretch my legs and challenge myself in that way. But I believe and trust Sam [Levinson] and what he does with these characters in the story. So I’m just excited to see what’s next.”

Before her interview with Variety, Sweeney shared her initial reaction to the Emmy nominations announcement via Instagram. She uploaded a video of her having a tearful conversation with her mom over the phone while inside her car.

“What a morning! Thank you so much to the [Television Academy] for my Emmy nominations! It’s an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many. I’m so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that’s been apart of them. But most importantly mom, I love you, we did it through the ups and downs!” she wrote in the caption.
