The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for T-Mobile are now receiving the March security patch software from Google. The devices will update to the G925TUVU5EQC2 version software. The patch update is 101.74MB in weight and is best installed with via a Wi-Fi connection with a battery charged to at least 50 percent. Users can access the software manually through Settings > About device > Download updates automatically.

Many Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, are now updating to Android 7.0 Nougat; however, this update is independent of the Nougat rollout.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 5.1-inch Quad HD display while the Galaxy S6 Edge features a 5.1-inch dual-edge curved display. Both devices feature an Exynos 7 Octa 7420 chip, 3GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options, a 16-megapixel front camera, and 5-megapixel rear camera. The Galaxy S6 features a 2,550 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S6 Edge features a 2,600 mAh.

Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy S8 will release April 21 with the March security patch pre-installed.​
