Fall Harvest is continuing on Hallmark Channel and bringing plenty of romance to fans with its latest film premiere, “Take The Reins,” starring Nikki DeLoach and Scott Porter.

The film will be a delight because it will give fans who recognize Porter from various other projects to show what he can do when it comes to a Hallmark film, as this will be his first time appearing on the network. Fans likely recognize him from a bevy of roles on television over the years though, including Jason Street on “Friday Night Lights,” George Tucker on “Hart of Dixie,” Tim Armstrong on “Scorpion,” Paul Randolph on “Ginny & Georgia” and Carol on “Lucifer.”

Fans will certainly recognize DeLoach though, who in addition to starring as Lacey Hamilton on “Awkward,” has become a staple star of Hallmark films. In addition to starring in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries titles “Two Turtle Doves” and “Cranberry Christmas,” she has also starred in the Hallmark Channel films “A Dream of Christmas,” “The Perfect Catch,” “Truly, Madly, Sweetly,” “Reunited at Christmas,” “Love to the Rescue,” “Love Takes Flight” and “Sweet Autumn.”

So what will happen in this film?

“When Samantha (DeLoach) is told by her magazine editor that she needs to put more of herself into her writing, she decides to go back home to her family’s horse ranch to write an article about the one subject she’s always been passionate about: horses,” a synopsis reads.

However, a return home means Samantha will also have to confront some skeletons from her past.

“Once there, Sam will have to face her past, which not only includes her reason for giving up riding, but also why her marriage fell apart with ex-husband Luke (Porter),” the synopsis reads.

Will he return help Samantha not only with her current career but also with finally coming to terms with her past?

“Taking The Reins” premieres Saturday, Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
