Target (TGT) is gearing up for the holidays by bringing a classic toy brand to its stores in a partnership with FAO Schwarz.

Starting in mid-October, Target stores and Target.com will begin offering FAO Schwarz toys in a collection that will span more than 120 items. Included in the collection are plush toys, STEM sets, and active play toys, with prices starting at $9.99.

Target said as many as 50 toys are priced under $20 and new items will be added with exclusive product drops through the holiday season.

Every Target store toy department will feature an FAO Schwarz section and toy demonstrations will be performed throughout the holiday season at select locations.

"One of the reasons families love shopping at Target is because of our incredible assortment of toys, and that selection is only getting better with our new exclusive agreement with the beloved FAO Schwarz brand," Jill Sando, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target, said in a statement.

The extended partnership with FAO Schwarz will honor the iconic toy retailer's 160th anniversary. Some of Target's top toys will also be featured at a pop-up shop inside FAO Schwarz's New York City flagship store.

Toys being offered as part of the FAO Schwarz collection at Target will include the FAO Schwarz Style Runway 4-Sided Fashion Show Playset, FAO Schwarz Ride On Train, FAO Schwarz Makeup Vanity Mirror Set, and the Dance on Piano Mat as seen in the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks, USA Today reported.

As of Monday at 12:16 p.m. ET, shares of Target were trading at $173.46, down 19 cents or 0.11%.
