Taylor Swift released her first single from the Hunger Games soundtrack titled Safe & Sound, which was followed. The single debuted on MTV News Monday and featured Grammy-winning band The Civil Wars.

The song begins with a simple chord progression being plucked on an acoustic guitar. In the video, Swift walks through a snow-blanketed forest in a white dress, matching the subdued sound of the single.

Just close your eyes / The sun is going down / You'll be alright / No one can hurt you now, sings Swift on the chorus.

The video was directed by Philip Andelman, who graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He's taken part in creating several music videos before including singles from Jay-Z, John Mayer, The Kills, Handsome Boy Modeling School and more.
