A Wisconsin teacher was recently arrested and charged for allegedly sending nude photos and videos of him to a 16-year-old student on Snapchat, officials said. Kenneth Chu, 26, was escorted out of Reagan High School in Milwaukee after a complaint was filed against him, news station WITI reported.

Chu had told the teenage student that he was “crushing pretty hard” on her and "wants a real relationship with her.” He also asked if she “wanted to sneak off and fool around.” He reportedly sent her dozens of X-rated images and videos through Snapchat — then demanded she send back nude photos of herself. The complaint also said Chu sent the girl "video and images of his naked body approximately 40 times. This would occur on school nights and weekends."

Police said in the criminal complaint Monday that Chu “kept threatening her, saying he had the power to suspend her.”

According to reports, school officials received a complaint from an alumnus that Chu "was reaching out to recent graduates and flirting with them." He had apparently "created several fake social media accounts to follow and chat with female graduates."

An investigation was launched and authorities questioned two other teen girls about the teacher. One of the girls claimed Chu used Snapchat to ask her what she wears to bed. Another said Chu asked if she was “spontaneous” and if she wanted to go on a trip to Chicago with him.

The 26-year-old was charged with one count of causing a child 13 to 18 years of age to view or listen to sexual activity. He was charged with three counts of exposing a child to harmful material. If convicted, Chu faces up to 16 years in prison. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Jan. 4.

After his arrest, Milwaukee Public Schools released a statement saying it is cooperating with police.

“The person in question has been placed on leave pending a final resolution to the matter,” the statement read.

There have been several such cases where teachers have targeted minor students and sent them sexually explicit photos. In almost all of the cases, the accused have been arrested and charged. In October, a New Jersey high school English teacher was accused of sending similar photos to a 17-year-old student. Michelina Aichele, 29, of Hillsborough Township, was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

In another incident in September, a Georgia substitute teacher was arrested for showing pornography to students. Dade County substitute teacher Amanda Lenea Pardue of Trenton, 35, was arrested on charges of electronically furnishing obscene material to minors and computer or electronic pornography and child exploitation (felony).
