  • Jenelle Evans said she and husband David Eason are "doing really good"
  • They previously split in 2019 but have since reconciled
  • The "Teen Mom 2" alum revealed that she and her husband make sure to go on date nights together

Jenelle Evans has shared a positive update on where she and husband David Eason stand today.

The "Teen Mom 2" alum and her husband have endured several bumps in their marriage since exchanging "I do's" four years ago, including a breakup and Evans' allegations of abuse and temporary restraining order against Eason in 2019. The couple has since reconciled, and according to the former MTV star, their relationship is going strong.

"We are doing really good lately, and our relationship finally feels super peaceful," Evans told E! News this week.

Evans also shared some details about their winter plans with their children. The couple shares 4-year-old daughter Ensley. Eason also has a daughter, Maryssa, with his ex. Evans has sons Kaiser, 7, and Jace, 12, from previous relationships.

"We have been thinking about bringing the kids tubing in the mountains soon, but haven't completely decided yet," she said. "As for me and David, we make sure to take time out for ourselves and go on date nights together. Sometimes we even book an Airbnb and do a staycation."

In August, the reality star shared on Instagram a snap from a family outing. In the caption, she revealed that they were celebrating all weekend for Jace's 12th birthday.

Evans told E! News that her sons are "doing good." She shared that Kaiser has been into wearing uniforms to school lately and now wears a blazer jacket every day, which the mom of three finds "super cute and funny." As for Jace, Evans said the preteen has "been into hunting lately around our land."

In January, Evans revealed that Jace had started living with her because he was allegedly misbehaving while he was living with her mom, Barbara. However, shortly after sharing the news, the reality star said her mom had taken Jace back.

Evans and her mother have been in a legal battle for years over full custody of the former's firstborn. The "Teen Mom" star said she only gets to see Jace on alternating weekends.

Evans also told E! News in March that she and her mother were "not on speaking terms, and we only speak if we're picking up Jace or dropping him off."

"There's a lot of things behind closed doors that she's done that's surfaced lately that I've just found out about, and I'm really uneasy and upset about it," she continued. "So I'm keeping my distance from her right now, especially because we're going to court, and basically I feel like our relationship might need some building again because I don't trust her anymore."
