Catelynn

Ahead of his one-year wedding anniversary with Catelynn, Tyler discusses marriage with his mom Kim. Tyler admits their first year of marriage was harder than he anticipated and he never expected Calteynn would go to rehab. He says it’s been the hardest year of their relationship they’ve had since giving their daughter Carly, who they haven’t seen in a year, up for adoption as a teenagers.

On their anniversary, Catelynn and Tyler have a romantic picnic. During their meal Catelynn says she’s unsure if they will get an annual visit with Carly. Tyler says they have passed all the tests life has thrown at them so far and they’re meant to be together.

When speaking about their next anniversary, Catelynn says she could be pregnant by then. Tyler is shocked by her comment and questions if they were ready to be parents. Deep down he says he feels like they are meant to have a big family and Cateylnn agrees, but says she’s not ready for another baby just yet. Catelynn, who has suffered from postpartum depression, adds she’s proud of how far she’s come with her mental illness but says she knows she has more to work on.

With their future with Carly looming in their minds, Catelynn and Tyler meet with their adoption agent Dawn to see if she’s heard from Carly’s parents, Brandon and Teresa, about a possible visit. Dawn goes over their initial adoption paperwork and Catelynn cries about what she signed off on as a teen. (Watch the scene above.) Catelynn says she just wants to know if they’re done seeing Carly until she’s 18.

Catelynn has since confirmed she is still in contact with Brandon and Teresa off-camera and has reminded viewers they have an open adoption.

Amber

Matt Baier tells Amber he’s worried about his adult son Christopher and suggests they offer him a place to stay to “straighten him out” and she agrees.

When Matt talks to his son, Christopher says he’s not on drugs but he does drink, calling his lifestyle “reckless.” Matt warns him staying clean “sucks” and that he will hit a rough patch. Amber tells Christopher she’s available until the wee morning hours if he needs someone to lean on.

Matt also informs his son their home is not a “revolving door” and if he’s staying there he has a work and stay clean, especially for their sake. Christopher says he has a felony on his record and its hard for him to get a job, but Amber and Matt help him find construction work. When asked if he’ll attend AA meetings, Christopher is against the idea, saying he doesn’t want to relive his past.

After his first day of work, Christopher says she’s feels good. Amber says she’s excited to have Christopher around because it will give her “something to do” with her daughter Leah not being there all the time due to her custody arrangement.

Maci

Maci and Taylor McKinney continue their wedding planning by asking her grandfather, who is an ordained pastor, to marry them. He gleefully accepts the offer and asks the couple about their wedding vows. Maci jokes they may need to take out the “objection” line in their vows because her son Bentley’s dad and ex Ryan Edwards will be in attendance.

After booking their honeymoon to Grenada, Maci celebrates her bridal shower with family and friends. “For once it’s not a baby shower,” she says at the party.

When Ryan’s mom Jen shows up, she informs Maci that Ryan and his dad Larry are no longer fighting. Maci says everyone getting along will make it easier on the families. Jen says she doesn’t know why Ryan had a change of heart and decided to apologize (but it appears his new, live-in girlfriend may have something to do with it.)

Farrah

Farrah goes to Missouri to visit her daughter Sophia’s late father Derek Underwood’s family. There, she learns Derek’s family adopted a highway in his loving memory, and she and Sophia pose for a photo by the sign.

During a fishing outing, Farrah says she thinks it’s important to keep Derek’s loved ones in Sophia’s life. When Farrah tells the family she is dating, but no longer talks about her on-again, off-again boyfriend Simon Saran in front of Sophia, they reveal their concerns Sophia will forget about Derek if Farrah marries one day. Farrah assures them Sophia will not forget.

Back at home, Farrah prepares for the opening of her second business: a furniture shop. Her mom, Debra, flies into Texas to help with the preparations and of course, they get into a fight. Farrah gets upset at her mother when she tries to give her a tour of her new work truck. The tension is gone moments later en route to the store with Farrah tells her mother she’s thankful to have been “blessed with a brain.”
