  • Amber Clare, the suspect's niece, is also missing
  • Police found the vehicle associated with the kidnapping in California

A Tennessee Amber Alert issued for a 3-year-old boy has been extended to Arizona after he and his 16-year-old cousin went missing more than a week ago.

An Amber alert for Noah Clare was issued in Tennessee on Tuesday. The toddler went missing from the city of Gallatin, Tennessee on Nov. 6, said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Authorities believe Noah was kidnapped by his father, Jacob Clare, 35.

Jacob is wanted for custodial interference and faces charges of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.

The car associated with the kidnapping, a silver 2005 Subaru Legacy with Tennessee plate number 42MY10, was last seen on State Route 95 near Parker, which is close to the Arizona-California border, the Arizona Central reported.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in San Clemente, California, according to authorities. Images of the vehicle shared by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation showed it filled with items, making it difficult for anyone to see through the back and side windows.

Police are also suspecting Jacob of kidnapping his 16-year-old niece, Amber Clare, from Kentucky. The trio is believed to be en route to Michigan where Jacob’s family and friends live.

"He has a ton of family and friends up in Michigan on both sides of the family," Noah’s mother Amanda Ennis said to WTVF. "His entire side of the family in Michigan, her mom Jamie, is from Michigan. So, just a lot of contacts up there," Ennis added.

Initially, an endangered child alert was issued on Nov. 9 by the bureau. The alert was upgraded to an Amber Alert on Tuesday following new developments in the investigation and "an upgraded charge to Especially Aggravated Kidnapping."

Noah has blue eyes and brown hair. He is 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a camo shirt, a black jacket and black shoes.

Jacob is described as 6 feet 7 inches tall, weighing between 180 to 200 pounds. He has blue/hazel eyes and brown hair and tribal tattoos on his left arm and shoulder, said authorities.

According to the Beaver Dam Police Department in Kentucky, Amber has epilepsy and does not have her seizure medication with her. They said she is in imminent danger without it.

The bureau said they have not issued an alert for Amber because they have no reason to believe that she was in Tennessee, making her case out of their jurisdiction.
