An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old North Carolina boy who is believed to be in "grave or immediate danger."

The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office said deputies are looking for a Hispanic man, possibly in their 30s, in connection with the abduction of Carlos Manuel Chinchilla-Vazquez. The boy went missing Monday evening from Rosman.

Police said the missing boy and the suspect are likely in Texas as their phone was last pinged in Dallas. However, it remains unclear if the phone belonged to the teenager.

The suspect is driving a 2020 or 2021 dark gray Nissan Rogue with an unknown license plate number, police told KRGV News. The car has tinted windows.

Chinchilla-Vasquez is 5-foot 7-inch tall, weighs about 180s pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, athletic shoes and was carrying a red/black backpack, ABC 11 reported.

Police have not revealed the identity of the suspect or a detailed description.

An extensive search is underway for the teenager. Police urged the public to contact the Transylvania County Sheriff's Office at 828-884-3168 or dial 911 with any information related to the abduction.

This is a developing story.
