A former multi-weight class boxing champ thinks WBO welterweight champ Terence Crawford could stop Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao.

Latest talks in boxing reveal that Pacquiao is set to return to the ring in a few months. While his opponent hasn’t been decided yet, Crawford has been one of the best candidates thus far.

Crawford vs. Pacquiao is expected to be a blockbuster fight because of their impeccable styles of fighting. Both world champions posses incredible power in their hands capable of knocking out opponents in multiple ways. On top of that, “Bud” and “Pac-Man” are both “lefties,” a fact that former multi-division champ Zab Judah considers a significant advantage of both fighters over their opponents.

In an interview with Elie Seckbach of EsNews, Judah said that “lefties” always have the advantage inside the ring. Being a leftie himself, Judah associated himself to Crawford and Pacquiao’s success.

“Lefties. We always on top, we always gonna be on top,” Judah said.

When asked about how Crawford vs, Pacquiao will go down, Judah predicted that his fellow countrymen will be able to stop Pacquiao.

“Terence Crawford all day. I think Terence might stop him (Pacquiao),” Judah predicted.

Pacquiao is expected to fight in Saudi Arabia for his next fight. Mikey Garcia is a strong candidate but according to Top Rank boss and Crawford’s promoter Bob Arum, they have been working on a fight with Pacquiao.

However, MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons denied getting in touch with Arum and said he is not aware of any plan to pit the Filipino icon against Crawford.

“Not sure whom Mr. Bob is speaking to but [it] doesn't sound like the right people,” Gibbons told Philstar.com.

As per Gibbons, the only thing that is certain at this point is that Pacquiao will fight again either in June or July.

“Senator is looking forward to returning to the ring in June or July. That's the plan,” Gibbons added.

Meanwhile, Crawford said that if he had a choice of fighting UFC’s Conor McGregor, Errol Spence Jr. or Pacquiao next, he would definitely go for the future hall of famer Pacquiao. According to the American champ, beating Pacquiao is like “the passing of the torch” as the eight-division title holder is last great fighter of his generation.

“It would be like the passing of the torch. He’s the last great fighter in this era left. Floyd [Mayweather] retired. [Miguel] Cotto retired. Erik Morales, [Marco Antonio] Barrera, whoever you name, they all retired. He [Pacquiao] is the last man standing right now,” Crawford pointed out.
