  • A black ring-shaped UFO was spotted over a Disneyland park in Los Angeles
  • A similar-looking UFO also appeared over San Diego
  • A similar UFO sighting was reported in a military base in 1957

A mysterious object that looked like a large black ring of smoke was spotted hovering over a Disneyland theme park in Los Angeles, California. According to a UFO expert, the strange object could be the same odd-looking alien vessels that members of the U.S. military spotted during the late 1950s.

Footage of the strange UFO sighting was shared on YouTube by the user Lucky35a. The video showed a black-colored circular cloud hovering over trees in the theme park. Although a viewer who commented on the video noted that some rides in Disneyland could produce circular rings of smoke, the uploader said that a similar-looking object also appeared in San Diego.

Scott Waring of ET Data Base noted in a blog post that the object that appeared over Disneyland could be the same UFO that appeared over a military base over 60 years ago.

According to Waring, this incident was tackled in the Condon Report, which was an Air Force-sponsored project headed by physicist Edward U. Condon of the University of Colorado. Released in 1966, the Condon Report was the author’s assessment of the UFO sightings and encounters of the U.S. Air Force.

One of the cases discussed in the report was the experience of an army private who was stationed at the Fort Belvoir base in Virginia in 1957. One morning, the soldier spotted a black ring-shaped object hovering over the base. After a couple of minutes, the object’s appearance began to change and was suddenly covered in white smoke.

For Waring, this eyewitness account indicates that ring-shaped UFOs are capable of changing their shape or producing clouds as a possible way of concealing their selves.

“One morning in September 1957, an army private at Fort Belvoir, Va. was called from his barracks by his buddies to witness what appeared to be a black, ring-shaped UFO approaching,” Waring stated in a blog post. “The private grabbed his Brownie camera and snapped 6 pictures of it, of which this was the first.”

“After about 5 minutes, the black ring, which appeared ‘solid’ to the soldier and glided steadily along, began to be ‘engulfed in white smoke,’” he continued.
