An Instagram user has claimed that she received messages from a male, who appears to be the Texas school shooter, Tuesday morning, right before the brutal massacre.

The girl, whose identity is hidden, has shared the screenshots of the messages she believes were from 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, who is suspected to have shot dead 19 children and two adults at a primary school in Texas.

The girl said she was tagged by the person who appears to be Ramos in a photo although she doesn't know him, reported Yahoo News.

She claimed the only reason she kept replying to his messages was that she "was afraid of him." She's not even from Texas, where the gunman lived, the girl added.

Ramos randomly messaged the girl, tagging her in a photo of guns on May 12. She wrote back to him, "What your guns gotta do with me?"

"Just wanted to tag you," Ramos replied. He continues to tell her to be "grateful that I tagged you."

However, another chilling message appeared on the girl's DM at 5:43 am Tuesday, where he wrote: "I'm about to."

She replies "about to what" to which he answered: 'I'll tell you before 11." Reports suggest Ramos stormed the school around 11.32 am.

"I got lil secret. I wanna tell you," he wrote Tuesday morning, leading to more messages between the duo. The man went on to share a series of vague messages, which "confused" the young woman.

His last message at 9:16 am Tuesday was "Ima air out."

After the tragic news broke out, the girl took to Instagram to post: "I wish I stayed awake to at least try to convince him to not commit his crime, I didn’t know." She added that she has handed over the messages to the police and offered her condolences to the victim's families.

Ramos' Instagram account, which had dark selfies and pictures of weapons, has since been deleted. According to reports, Meta has taken down the account possibly associated with the gunman. They are in contact with law enforcement.

Meanwhile, multiple fake accounts with the alleged shooter’s photo have been made on Instagram.

Ramos was shot dead by police after he opened fire at Robb Elementary School in the town of Uvalde.
