  • "Thor: Love and Thunder" script is ready
  • Chris Hemsworth called the script "pretty insane"
  • Details of a new character have surfaced online

Chris Hemsworth, who will be reprising his lead role as the God of Thunder, has read the early drafts of “Thor: Love and Thunder” script. The actor called the script “pretty insane” in a recent interview, and he is hoping that they don’t change it in the future.

Production work on the upcoming Marvel film, along with the projects of all other major studios, has been paused because of the coronavirus. Some of these movies are being released directly on platforms like Netflix.

A new film that is releasing on Netflix is “Extraction.” While promoting the film in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Hemsworth said that he is dealing with the current anxiety and uncertainty by going into a “forced sort of meditation and forced sort of stillness” that he hasn’t been able to achieve in many years. During the interview, the actor also spoke about his upcoming Marvel film.

“It’s one of the best scripts I’ve read in years,” Hemsworth said. The script of “Thor: Love and Thunder” has been written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and director Taika Waititi. Hemsworth said that the script shows Waititi at his “most extreme” and his “best.” The actor added that the story is “pretty insane” and he hopes they don’t change it.

Waititi previously told the fans in an Instagram interaction just how different the upcoming film will be in terms of the fantastic elements, Deadline reported. “It’s like 10-year-olds told us what should be in a movie and we said yes to every single thing,” the director jokingly teased.

The plot of the upcoming film is currently being kept under wraps. The story will be significant because the film will mark Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) transition into the next God of Thunder. Although the filming isn’t taking place right now, the producers are busy casting for the film.

A new set of characters will be joining the upcoming Marvel movie. According to The Illuminerdi, there will be a new character named Zappa. The role is for a 11 or 12 years old black male and the character has been described as “intelligent, fearless, mature, with a good sense of humor.”

“Thor: Love and Thunder” is scheduled to be released on Feb. 18, 2022.
