Marvel really wants to attract more people to watch its upcoming film, “Thor: Ragnarok,” so it decided to change the movie’s title in Japan. There, the Chris Hemsworth-starrer will be called “Mighty Thor: Battle Royale.”

A photo of the unique movie poster was shared by CB Cebulski, Marvel’s senior vice president of creative & creator development. He then explained why Marvel decided to give the movie a different title in Japan.

“Ragnarok” is actually an Old Norse word meaning “Twilight of the Gods” or “Fate of the Gods,” according to Comic Book. In Norse mythology, Ragnarok is all about the great battle between the Aesir, the Norse gods and the assembled forces of Loki, as well as the great demon Surtur.

But in the film, which is directed by Taika Waititi, the great battle will be between Thor (Hemsworth) and Hela (Cate Blanchett). Hela is a force to be reckoned with, and she is so powerful that Thor’s half brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be forced to team up with him just to defeat her. “It’s the kind of destruction that both Thor and Loki have never seen, on a scale of terror they’ve never ever seen before. So, they fall back on their brotherhood fractured though it is to see what they can do to stop her,” he told IGN.

They will even be getting some help from the Sorcerer Supreme himself, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). One of the things that has gotten Marvel fans excited for “Thor: Ragnarok” is his cameo, although Waititi has kept details of his involvement a huge secret until now.

Meanwhile, Marvel president Kevin Feige said that “Thor: Ragnarok” will open up the storyline for “Avengers: Infinity War.” “I think that we are finding ourselves as we complete Phase 3 and finish this 22-movie narrative that it’s working out that way,” he told the Toronto Sun. “We did three ‘Iron Man’ films, three ‘Captain America’ films, three ‘Thor’ films. Things change drastically in ‘Ragnarok’ and then build directly into ‘Infinity War.’”

“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released on Nov. 3.
