Tiger Woods said that he wears his special Rolex even while he sleeps.

Without a doubt, Woods’ success has brought him fortune. In fact, he was the highest-paid athlete in the world for about a decade starting 2001. Reports also claim that the 15-time major champion has already earned over a billion dollars from career earnings. With a net-worth bigger than most of his peers, Woods’ affinity for Rolex watches, particularly the Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea, should come as no surprise. In October of 2011, Woods joined other top golfers as a Rolex ambassador for a period of time. Since then, the luxurious watch has become his trademark timepiece even outside the course.

Rolex has been a staple in Woods’ fashion. Everything about him and the brand has become quite normal for years. However, golf enthusiast, media expert and founder of “Random Golf Club” Erik Anders Lang recently uncovered an interesting unsolved mystery behind the golf GOAT and his Rolex watches.

In a video he recently uploaded on his YouTube channel, Anders Lang dived deeper in the subject of whether Woods’ Rolex collection was special in any way given his relationship with the brand and stature as an icon or is he donning just the same “Rollie” as others.

Ultimately, the video was about Anders Lang feeling very nervous about meeting Woods in the flesh. And finally, when Anders Lang got the chance to shake Woods’ hand and ask for a photo, he also took the opportunity to have a small talk with the golf legend.

Everything seemed normal including the brief chat. That was until Anders Lang asked a question even Woods surely did not expect. It was a question about his Rolex.

"Your watch, it's just a normal watch, right?" Asked Anders Lang.

Being such a good-sport, Woods quickly responded: "Yeah. Normal watch. It's just on the heavier side. It's the heaviest one they make."

Anders Lang then decided to take the conversation to another level. He proceeded to ask Woods something that even a non-Rolex fan might find very strange. The golf-crazed media expert bravely asked Woods: "Do you wear it when you sleep?" Surprisingly, Woods responded with a "Yeah."

To this day, Rolex still takes part in cherishing Woods’ legacy. In fact, the brand’s official website highlights some of the iconic athlete’s most captivating quotes on his profile page. These include Woods’ ultimate achievement in golf and how his watches were part of his career and personal life.
