Tim Matheson made an official complaint at the police station after receiving death threats due to a tweet he made against former First Lady Melania Trump.

The "Animal House" star has been receiving threats weeks after he tweeted something "ignorant" about the ex-FLOTUS. The issue started when he took to Twitter in January to compliment First Lady Jill Biden following President Joe Biden’s inauguration while subtly shading Melania.

"So wonderful to have a First Lady with class and heart. And, can speak English!" he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Matheson told cops someone has been harassing him online after he dissed Melania, law enforcement sources told TMZ. Matheson has already apologized, but the threats still kept coming.

One said he would kick Matheson's a-- to "pay me big bucks or I will kill you." The celebrity contacted the LAPD and filed an extortion report due to the money demands. The cops are already investigating the matter.

Matheson received intense backlash for his tweet against Melania. He apologized to the former first lady by commenting on her farewell message.

"Thank you for your work as the First Lady. I apologize to you for a stupid, ignorant,& foul remark that I made last week on Twitter in reference to http://you. It was wrong, cruel and intolerant of me.I have learned a big lesson from this http://experience.So sorry," he wrote.

Matheson's apology toward Melania received mixed responses from other Twitter users. Many praised him for owning his mistake, but some still criticized him for doing it in the first place. Several were also not happy about his apology because, for them, it was not necessary.

"I commend you Sir," one wrote.

"You sound like a big pu--y! Oh I’m sorry for that remark that was mean and uncalled for I just hate myself now," another commented.

"What lesson did you learn? I highly doubt your sincerity," a third netizen asked.

"Now you are doing the most: What ‘works’? What is her lasting legacy? Ok, so you had trump-ish moment. You apologized. You don't have to lie to appease her fanatics," another wrote.

Meanwhile, Melania just launched her new office and announced it via the newly-created official Twitter account of "The Office of Melania Trump." The ex-FLOTUS' fans were happy to have her back because they missed her.
