Melania Trump has launched her new office after leaving the White House, but her latest move has received mixed responses from Twitter users.

Last month, it was reported that the former first lady plans to open a new office and continue the initiatives she started while in the White House, including her "Be Best" campaign. On Friday, she made the announcement via the newly-created official Twitter account of "The Office of Melania Trump."

"Mrs. Melania Trump is announcing the opening of The Office of Melania Trump. Please follow this account for news and updates," read the first tweet from the account.

Trump retweeted the announcement from her personal Twitter account, the first time she has posted online since her farewell address before departing the White House.

Her supporters welcomed back the former first lady following her weeks-long social media hiatus.

"I am so glad to see you back in the public’s eye. I have stood behind you and your family from 2016 and still backing you guys. I’m still praying there’s a rabbit to be pulled out of the hat. Good hearing from you," @kyhareraiser1 commented.

"The best first lady ever! We miss you!" Erika Campbell added.

"I hope you are doing Ok wasn’t going to comment until I saw the juvenile twits replying with the usual. I have great respect for you and your family. Best wishes in your next chapter," one commented.

Others didn't take Trump's announcement seriously, citing her lack of accomplishments during her four-year tenure as first lady. One of the new Twitter account's 100,000 followers said they decided to follow it for a "good laugh," while some have speculated there may another person behind the account.

"Hi. I'm following this account from over in England. We like a good laugh over here so I'm looking forward to some hilarious content. Thanks!" one wrote.

"I think this is @/RealDonaldTrump trying to skirt the suspension and ban. What's up with the seal?" another user added.

"‘I, Melania, will have IMPORTANT announcements from this account,’" another commented with a photo of the former president's face edited onto his wife's body.

Some took issue with Trump using a government seal after announcing that she's a private citizen.

"Your profile pic is a govt seal, private citizen," one commented.

"So stop using the seal of the president," another added.

But others defended Trump's usage of the seal after leaving the White House, saying she isn't the only first lady to do so.

"Every former President/flotus had that logo. Doesn’t mean they hold any PUBLIC office. They’re still private," one netizen wrote.

In another tweet posted Saturday, Trump's office slammed a report from CNN's Kate Bennett claiming that the former first lady has been spending most of her time relaxing at the Mar-a-Lago spa since leaving the White House and that she is upset with the publicity her successor, Jill Biden, has garnered since she took over.

Her office called the report “false gossip” that “illustrates the media’s unhealthy obsession.”
