A man who was shot in the head at the Tonic Bar in Times Square, New York, succumbed to his injuries Tuesday.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed the shooting stating that the man was killed around 4 a.m. EST near 7th Avenue at 48th Street, NBC New York reported.

Reports stated that a tussle between the victim and an unidentified man led to the incident. Witnesses accounts revealed how startled people dropped their belongings and tried to escape the chaos.

The deceased, whose identity has not been confirmed, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Without revealing many details, police said the suspect was last seen wearing a black skull cap and a black jacket, the NY Daily News reported.

According to reports, no arrests have been made so far.
