Now that the Dream Team of jailbreakers has finally broken the sandbox issue, which was blocking the release of the eagerly awaited untethered jailbreak for A5-powered devices, let's take a look at the top free jailbreak apps available through Cydia for iOS 5...

StatusGoogle:

This jailbreak tweak available for free from Cydia adds a Google search bar to the notification center. Once the app is installed, type the search query, press enter and then hide the notification center... the app will take you directly into Mobile Safari, with the Google search loading automatically.

Dreamboard:

This is a very advanced theme manager for devices with iOS 4.0 and above. Themes available for Dreamboard can completely overhaul the look and feel of an iOS device. It even allows the user to change the device's User Interface to Android or MacOS X Lion. The Dreamboard app, which is available for free from Cydia, also makes it easy to switch between themes in seconds.

DataDeposit:

This app lets you back-up iOS applications, save data to your Dropbox account and restore to another device

Auto Location:

This tweak atomically enables and disables location services... but only when needed. For instance, when you launch any GPS tracker, Auto Location will automatically enable location services and if you close the app, the tweak will immediately disable location services if there is no need to use those updates anymore. Auto Location detects the apps that need location services by using your settings in General > Location Services.

Activator:

Activator is a very popular jailbreak hack that allows you to set custom functions for any buttons on your device, as well as redefine existing multi-touch gestures and set new ones.

MT Gestures:

Multi-tasking gestures let you use four or five fingers to pinch to the home screen, swipe up to reveal the multi-tasking bar and swipe left or right between apps.
