“The Umbrella Academy” and “Project Power” have turned out to be the most popular titles on the streaming giant Netflix for the month of August.

Based on an analysis done by FlixPatrol, the second season of “The Umbrella Academy” claimed the top spot on the list of 10 most popular shows on the streaming service after receiving 276 points while the comedy-drama series “Shameless” secured the second position with 154 points, Variety reported.

The scores given to the shows were calculated from the number of days they appeared on Netflix's top 10 most popular shows or movie lists. Daily values are assigned based on the following scale: 10 points for first place, 1 point for 10th place.

The Umbrella Academy” chronicles the journey of seven young men and women who are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who sets up the Umbrella Academy and prepares all seven children to protect the world from evil things.

The second season of the hit TV show has turned out to be better than season one as it received universal acclaim. The second season currently holds a score of 90% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.

“The Legend Of Korra,” “World’s Most Wanted,” and “Lucifer” rounded off the top five.

Other shows that were featured on the top 10 list were “The Seven Deadly Sins,” “The Last Dance,” “Hoops,” and “High Score.”

Meanwhile, when it comes to movies, Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “Project Power” topped the list with 164 points. With 134 points, the second position on the list went to “Mr. Peabody And Sherman” while “Drunk Parents” claimed the third spot after receiving 105 points.

“Jurassic Park,” “Work It,” “The Kissing Booth 2,” “Despicable Me 2,” and “Mr. Deeds” are some of the movies that made it to the list as well.
