Transformers 3 Box Office: Robotic Mayhem Easily Trumps Aniston, James Flicks

Funny took a back seat to explosions and robotic mayhem in the latest weekend North American box office results, according to studio estimates.
A pair of new comedies starring Jennifer Aniston and Kevin James were simply no match for the action/adventure juggernaut that is Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon remained atop the U.S. box office for the second straight weekend, grossing $47 million. The film, which stars Shia Labeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whitely has now earned a total gross of $261 million. The film had an estimated $195
Horrible Bosses, debuting this weekend, was in second with $28.1 million.
Zookeper, also new to theaters, came in third with $21 million.
Disney's Cars 2 at $15.2 million and Bad Teacher at $9 million rounded out the top five.
The rest of the top 10 includes Larry Crowne, Super 8, Monte Carlo, Green Lantern, and Mr. Bopper's Penguins.
