KEY POINTS

  • Travis Barker performed with the Foo Fighters at their tribute concert for the band's late drummer Taylor Hawkins in London
  • Kourtney Kardashian posted backstage photos from the event showing her and Barker holding hands
  • Barker commented on Kardashian's post thanking his wife for joining him on the "special night"

Travis Barker penned a sweet message for his wife Kourtney Kardashian after she joined him at the first of two tribute concerts for his late friend, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

On Saturday, Barker performed with the surviving members of the Foo Fighters at their tribute concert for Hawkins at London's Wembley Stadium, and Kardashian was there to support her husband, E! News reported.

The "Kardashians" star shared via Instagram a series of backstage photos from the event showing the couple holding hands and cozying up together before he hit the stage.

Kardashian and Barker sported matching white graphic T-shirts and black accessories in the snaps. The reality star paired her T-shirt with a black turtleneck, full-length gloves, an oversized black belt adorned with silver grommets, a Balenciaga mini-bag and black knee-high boots, according to the outlet.

The Poosh founder captioned the photo dump with a hawk emoji, a nod to Hawkins' nickname, The Hawk, according to Page Six.

Her post was flooded with "likes" and comments, including from Barker and her sister Khloe Kardashian.

"Thank you for joining me on such a special night. I love you, my wife," the Blink-182 drummer commented on her post.

"There's my rock and roll girl," Khloe wrote.

Barker was one of several artists who performed onstage with the Foo Fighters to pay tribute to their late drummer, who died earlier this year.

Barker, for his part, joined the group for "Monkey Wrench" and "The Pretender."

He shared via Instagram a video of him playing the drums for the final notes of "Monkey Wrench."

"TAYLOR HAWKINS FOREVER," he wrote in the caption.

Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, Kesha and Metallica's Lars Ulrich were also among the lineup for Saturday's tribute concert.

A second performance is scheduled later this month in Los Angeles.

Hawkins, an original member of the Foo Fighters, died in March at the age of 50.

At the time, Barker posted an emotional tribute to his late pal via Instagram.

"I don't have the words. Sad to write this or to never see you again. I'll never forget Laguna Beach days when I was a trash man playing in a punk rock band and you were playing with Alanis [Morissette]," Barker wrote. "You'd come watch me play in dive bars and be like, 'kid you're a star.' And I thought you were crazy, but you gave me so much hope and determination."

He continued, "Years later, we toured together with Blink and Foo's in Australia and I have the best memories of smoking cigarettes in the restroom of flights we were on together and watching your set every night. To say I'll miss you my friend isn't enough. Till the next time we talk drums and smoke in the boys' room ... Rest in peace."

The concert comes months after Barker and Kardashian tied the knot. They had a non-binding wedding in Las Vegas in April after attending the 2022 Grammy Awards. They officially tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, on May 15.

Kardashian and Barker wed again in Portofino, Italy, a week later in front of their friends and family members.
