  • Alex Rodriguez is doing "fine" despite claims he's hurting badly over Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's reunion, a report says
  • The former MLB star reportedly has been spending more time with his family and focusing on the "Timberwolves deal"
  • This came after reports claimed Rodriguez was still hoping he and Lopez would rekindle their romance in the future

Alex Rodriguez is unfazed despite reports claiming that he is "in a world of pain" over Jennifer Lopez reuniting with Ben Affleck shortly after they announced their split, according to a new report.

The "On The Floor" singer has been spotted hanging out with Affleck in the past weeks, and one unnamed insider claimed to Us Weekly that this has left Rodriguez "very sore and in a world of pain."

However, an anonymous source told Page Six Friday that the former MLB star is "doing fine."

"He’s been spending time with his family and concentrating on the Timberwolves deal. He’s concentrating on his kids and the team. That’s it," the insider continued.

This came shortly after Us Weekly quoted a source as saying that Lopez and Affleck's reunion humiliated Rodriguez because it was "the first time anyone can remember him being dumped like this, at least publicly."

"Seeing her running straight back to Ben’s arms is a real kick in the teeth," the source said. "There’s a part of him that still clings onto the hope that they’ll wind up together again but deep down he’s had to accept the harsh truth that she’s over him and moving on with Ben. It’s a tough pill to swallow but that’s his new reality."

Rodriguez, whose exes include Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson, started dating the singer in 2017. They were engaged for two years before they revealed in April that they were calling it quits.

Another unnamed insider told People that Rodriguez was "not thrilled" over Lopez spending time with Affleck and that "it definitely hurt his ego." He reportedly hoped that he and Lopez would get back together sometime in the future and was jealous when he learned that she had started hanging out with the "Argo" star again nearly two decades after they split.

Rodriguez was also under the impression that he and Lopez would remain amicable after they called off their two-year engagement, according to the source.

In their split announcement, Rodriguez and Lopez said they were "better as friends" and plan to continue working together on their joint business ventures. They were also seen together at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles for a meal about a week after their breakup.

However, the source told People Lopez had already cut him off because he was "acting so needy."

Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck have already "fully reconnected." They spent the Mother's Day weekend together in Big Sky, Montana.

"Jen is loving the attention she has been getting from Ben," an unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight. "Now that they've fully reconnected, they are having fun together and care about each other a great deal."
