Last year, Star magazine released a story claiming that Suri had dreams of joining show business and that her father needed to "look out." An unnamed source claimed in the report that Katie Holmes apparently believed her daughter would be a model or actress like her in the future. According to the questionable tipster, Holmes is reportedly even banking on Suri becoming more famous than the "Mission Impossible" actor someday.

This rumor stemmed from Holmes and Suri appearing together at Z100's 2017 Jingle Ball in New York to introduce Taylor Swift. Star magazine's so-called insider claimed that Suri apparently "begged" her mom to let her join her onstage and that she hadn't been nervous standing in front of thousands of people at Madison Square Garden. In fact, the unnamed source even claimed Suri was having a blast being in the spotlight.

One year later, however, it is clear that Suri has no plans to join showbiz and trying to surpass her dad as of now. Gossip Cop pointed out that Suri did not appear on the Jingle Ball again nor has she been featured in commercials, TV shows or movies. The rumor-debunking site said that if Suri really had had dreams of becoming famous, she would have walked the red carpet and appeared onstage at the 2018 Jingle Bell with her mom. However, this year, Suri kept it lowkey when she attended the event with Holmes and her friends.

The outlet also noted Holmes' rep has already confirmed to them that claims of Suri becoming an actress or model were false.

This isn't the first rumor that surfaced about Suri and her parents this month. Last week, Gossip Cop also debunked a rumor claiming that Tom Cruise would be spending some quality time with his daughter during the holidays. The Heat magazine story claimed Holmes and Cruise had reached an agreement regarding where Suri would spend Christmas with him, but the actress' spokesperson confirmed that there is no truth to the report.
