  • Amber Heard texted her former agent that she still loved Johnny Depp and was sorry
  • Christian Carino believed that Heard wanted to reconcile with Depp after their divorce
  • Twitter users shared mixed opinions, with some saying Heard's apology was too late

Amber Heard's previous emails to her former agent revealed that she regretted the falling-out between her and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Heard's former agent and close confidant Christian Carino's lengthy pre-taped deposition aired Wednesday during the ongoing trial of Depp's defamation case against her. Heard's emails to Carino revealed that she was still in love with Depp a year after they divorced, and she had said "sorry" to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star.

"I've written so many notes. Can you give him one? I don't know how or where to start. There's no way to begin and all I have to say, but I have so many," Heard emailed Carino, which was read aloud by Depp's lawyer Wednesday, People reported. "Finally, I am single, clear in my heart and mind. I just want him to know I love him and that I am sorry."

Carino testified that he "believed" Heard wanted to reconcile with the "Fantastic Beasts" actor. He also said that the "Aquaman" actress was never in love with Elon Musk, whom she started dating immediately after her split from Depp.

Twitter users immediately reacted after learning that Heard had apologized to Depp.

"She's a little too late. And obviously not the brightest bulb in the box," one commented.

"While JD is no saint, she’s a pathological liar. She deserves to have her career take a nosedive," another added.

"Sorry for bloody what? She screwed him. My heart aches for #JohnnyDepp," a different netizen wrote.

As the trial continues, more and more have been voicing support for Depp. Some said they won't be watching Heard's future projects.

"@WBHomeEnt @aquamanmovie Sorry, we will NOT support Amber Heard in any movies. It's hard enough to look at her during the trial. Her narcissistic demeanor is rather repugnant to say the least. Produce the movie all you want it will FLOP!!!! Just saying," one wrote.

"I personally will not be watching anything Amber Heard is in. I have watched the trial and feel sorry for Johnny Depp and the damage to his career," another added.

Meanwhile, some netizens do not want to take sides and said both were abusive to each other. Others, however, chose to support Heard.

"Both of them are bats--t crazy and were abusive to each other," one wrote.

"I was an abused woman in my first marriage. We leave. Sorry but I believe Johnny [is] the abuser," another added.
