Jordan Peele had an interesting way of drumming up buzz for his upcoming horror film "Candyman."

On Tuesday, the 41-year-old presented his fans with a dare on Twitter.

The "Get Out" writer and director said that those who completed the task would receive an "exclusive first look" at the sequel to the 1992 classic about a murdered slave who returns from the dead seeking revenge. Legend says that Candyman can be summoned by saying his name five times while facing a mirror. When he appears, he proceeds to kill the summoner with his hook-hand.

Peele was met with a plethora of responses to his ask to conjure the supernatural murderer. While some simply expressed their excitement for the thriller, the majority were clearly terrified at the thought of following through with the request.

"You really thought you were going to get your people to do this???" one user replied. "I'mma just buy a ticket to the movie like a normal person and not play with demons."

"Nope. Not saying it. Nope," another wrote alongside a meme of Steve Carrell's character Michael Scott from The Office saying, "Nope. Don't like that."

A third Twitter user flat out admitted, "I'm a little scared," using a meme of Victoria F. from "The Bachelor."

Thankfully, those too afraid to go through with using the Candyman hashtag can still get a glimpse of the six-second teaster trailer that Peele promised as it was posted to the movie's official Twitter account.

In the clip for the film scheduled to hit theaters in June, viewers get a peep of the killer's hook before a woman drops what she's holding, shrieks in terror, and proceeds to run away.

The official trailer for Candyman drops on Thursday.
