Verizon Wireless has introduced a new offer that will entitle any customer who buys a Motorola Droid 3 with a two-year contract, to a second Droid 3 absolutely free. The buyer, however, will have to shell out a two-year contract for the free smartphone as well.

At Verizon, the buyer will just have to add the Android-powered smartphone to his cart and confirm whether he will apply for the deal or not, according to a Phonearena.com report. The Droid 3 was released earlier this month, and has received mixed reviews for the smartphone’s build-quality and battery life.

The 4-inch smartphone packs a rear 8MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 2.3 or Gingerbread juice, and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 processor.

The Apple's expected iPhone 5 will run on iOS 5 and is expected to dominate a fair share of the market just by Apple’s brand name power. Apple also has a reputation of revitalizing damaged relationships with customers with promises of lower price tag, better applications and good customer service.

Apple’s 3.7-inch 4G LTE-compatible iPhone 5 is expected to arrive with an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash, A5 processor and glasses free 3D viewing.
