  • UFC 246 will be held in T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, NV

We’re not yet on the weekend but the fans are hearing their hearts pounding for UFC 246, thanks to Dana White.

Per BJPenn.com, UFC President shared on social media of what appears to be the opening video of Saturday night’s pay-per-view event, which also marks the return of Conor McGregor after more than a year of inactivity. The welterweight match-up will be held in T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, NV.

With Bon Jovi’s classic “Wanted, Dead or Alive” playing in the background, the video started with McGregor’s rise from a young man from Dublin to becoming one of the most popular stars in the world of combat sports.

The video, which is over three-minutes long, showed the most recent victories that made him “The Notorious”, which includes his journey back in his native Ireland to the octagon. Some of the highlights include his TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez, the 13-second KO win over Jose Aldo, his submission loss to Nate Diaz and his revenge. Those victories earned him the distinction of being the first fighter in UFC history to win two weight divisions simultaneously while quoting the difference that two years brought to the career of the 31-year old McGregor.

The other part highlights the legendary career of Donald Cerrone being the promotion’s all-time leader in wins and finishes. They played how did “Cowboy” dominated the sport with his wrestling, kicks, body shots, and submissions.

McGregor is coming off a boxing match against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather, Jr. where he lost via referee stoppage in the tenth round in 2017. His last MMA victory was in 2016 where he beat Alvarez in the second round and made his popular “apology” during the post-fight interview.

Cerrone, on the other hand, is coming off two consecutive losses – against Tony Ferguson via doctor stoppage in the first round in June and a TKO loss to Justin Gaethje in September, both happened last year.

Both fighters want to climb back to the winning column and after exchanging pleasantries during their press conference yesterday, MMA fans will be treated to an exciting fight.
