Universal Studios Hollywood announced Wednesday that the first Super Nintendo World will open at its park on Feb. 17, 2023.

The park will feature favorites from Super Mario Bros like Peach's Castle, Bowser's Castle, and a colorful Mushroom Kingdom.

Universal Studios Hollywood is located in Universal City, California, near Los Angeles.

"From the moment guests pass through the iconic green pipe, a journey filled with exploration, discovery and play awaits that is entirely unlike anything they've experienced before," Universal Studios Hollywood said in a press release.

"SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will sweep guests into the 360-degree world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach where they will become an integral part of their exhilarating universe," it added.

Some of the main attractions to look forward to include a new technologically-advanced ride that resembles the video game called "Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge," a "Toadstool Café" with a gourmet menu made by "Chef Toad," and a "1-Up Factory" with tons of merchandise.

Super Nintendo World will also have plenty of interactive gameplay options throughout the park. Visitors will have the option to purchase a "Power-Up Band" that allows for a more interactive experience including keeping game scores, collecting digital coins, and obtaining keys after winning challenges.

The Power-Up Bands also allow guests to enjoy special interactions with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach.

Nintendo also has plans for "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" to be released in theaters on April 7, 2023.
