Real Madrid made a valiant comeback after being down two goals at halftime, but it wasn't enough as Barcelona advanced to the semi-finals of Copa del Rey at Nou Camp on Wednesday.

Barcelona went into the second leg leading, 2-1, and by managing the 2-2 tie, as the Catalans advanced on aggregate, 4-3.

The Catalans received two goals just before halftime, as Pedro and Dani Alves scored in the final five minutes before halftime. Both goals were well set-up, as Barcelona appeared to be on their way to an easy victory.

But Real Madrid stormed back in the second half. Cristiano Ronaldo scored to cut the lead in half in the 68th minute with a breakaway goal off an assist from Mesut Ozil, and then Karim Benzema evened the match with an excellent effort four minutes later.

Late in the match, Sergio Ramos picked up his second yellow card to leave Real Madrid under-manned. Los Galacticos had several chances to score, but only managed two goals.

Once, again, the match was filled with fouls and yellow cards. Lionel Messi was the only yellow card for Barcelona, and Real Madrid had eight yellow cards.

In last year's Copa del Rey Final, Real Madrid defeated Barcelona, so Wednesday's results served as revenge for the Catalans at home.
