Madonna did an impromptu gig at a makeshift memorial for the 130 victims of the Paris attacks of November 13, just after one of her Rebel Heart Tour concerts on Wednesday.

She sang John Lennon's "Imagine" next to the statue in the Place de la Republique were tourists and Parisians alike have come to lay tributes in recent weeks, surrounded by a handful of fans and surprised passers-by and with her son at her side.

She also performed paired-down versions of her own hits "Ghosttown" and "Like a Prayer".

Just after the attacks, she paid tribute to the victims at a concert in the Swedish capital Stockholm, where she sang 'La vie en rose'.

The series of near-simultaneous gun and bomb attacks across the capital on November 13, claimed by Islamic State, killed 130 people and left hundreds more injured.
