Vin Diesel announced over the weekend that Marvel star Brie Larson is all set to join the highly anticipated movie, "Fast & Furious 10."

The 54-year-old actor shared a fun photo on Instagram featuring him and Larson sharing a laugh. In the photo, the actor, wearing a black t-shirt, can be seen laughing with his eyes closed while Larson, 32, leans on his shoulder and looks at him as she laughs.

"Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s captain Marvel”. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image," Diesel captioned the photo. "What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology."

"Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for," he added. "Welcome to the FAMILY Brie."

Larson also posted the same photo on her Instagram account and shared her excitement.

"Excited doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about joining the Fast family," she captioned the photo. "Thank you for welcoming me in with so much kindness and excitement, @vindiesel. Can’t wait to share more (when I can _ )."

Previously, Diesel shared updates regarding the upcoming installment of the popular car racing franchise.

"It is very intense, although god has brought such incredible talent to assist me in completing this mythology, I can’t help but to reminisce… you all have been a part of this journey," he said, adding: "You all have been a part of this family."

Diesel further revealed that Universal Studios is going to release the movie's finale in two parts.

"Fast & Furious 10" is slated to release on May 19, 2023. The star-studded movie will also feature Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Kurt Russell, Cardi B and Tyrese Gibson.
