  • Maggie's husband was killed by Negan
  • Season 10 finale is expected to feature a major death

Negan is one of the most infamous villains featured in "The Walking Dead" comics and he is equally fearsome on the AMC drama. But unlike most villains, his death isn’t something fans can expect to see on the show anytime soon.

Recently, Lauren Cohan, the actress who essays Maggie Rhee, opened up about her character’s reaction to Negan. The baseball-wielding villain was responsible for Maggie’s husband Glenn’s death, smashing him with his barbed wire-covered baseball bat. Both Lucille, and she has not forgiven Negan for that.

Cohan recently admitted that her character has unfinished business with the villain. "She definitely decided not to kill him on that day when Michonne discouraged her, " she told AMC. "She did go that way.”

Maggie, who was last seen in Season 9, has not given up on her plans to kill Negan.

Fans of "The Walking Dead” comic books already know that Negan does not die in the series. When the comics wound up last year, Negan was seen living in an empty town. Although Maggie follows Negan to kill him, she drops the plan after seeing how willing Negan was to end his life.

Robert Kirkman, on whose comic the AMC zombie apocalypse drama is based on, announced last week that he was releasing a one-off book, solely focused on Negan.

The 36-page issue will answer all the questions fans have concerning Negan. It will also look at what the character, essayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in AMC's "The Walking Dead" series, has been up to since his last appearance in "The Walking Dead" issue 174.

The author had earlier revealed that although Negan was his favourite character, he had tried to kill the character at least three times. But he couldn’t go through with the plan.

"There was even one issue where I wrote Negan's death, and I sent it to Charlie [artist] Adler and he was like, 'Wow, we're killing Negan,'" Kirkman recalled during an interaction at last year’s Comic Con. "I was like, 'Right, we shouldn't do it!' and I rewrote the script."

"The Walking Dead" Season 10 will return to AMC later this year. Season 10 finale is expected to feature the death of a key character.
