“The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 16 is shaping up to be an important story for the show. Not only will it include an epic showdown between Beta (Ryan Hurst) and the heroes and set up the future with the new characters like Princess (Paola Lázaro), but it will also mark the return of a major character who previously left the TV series.

After the deaths of some of the main characters on the show, and the exit of some of the heroes like Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan Jones (Lennie James), there is a need for more heroes as the story continues. One character who is tipped to return to the TV series is Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

Maggie was supposed to return in Season 11, but according to Screen Rant, the character will be included in the Season 10 finale episode. Cohan left the show in Season 9 reportedly because there were problems in her pay negotiations after she demanded the same level of compensation as her male colleagues. The actress went on to work in ABC’s “Whiskey Cavalier,” but since the show got cancelled after the first season Cohan is free to return to the popular zombie series.

It is still not clear if Maggie’s return in “The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 16 is the start of a new long-term journey for the character or if she will leave again in the near future. For now, the addition of the character should bolster the ranks of the heroes.

The one character who has emerged as the main lead amid all the deaths is Daryl (Norman Reedus). According to Screen Rant, the reason why Reedus was cast on the show was because he was so impressive during the audition. The producers believed in the actor’s ability so much that they went out of their way to create the character Daryl just to make him be a part of the show.

“The Walking Dead” Season 10, episode 16 will wrap up the storyline related to the war against the Whisperers and also setup the new stories for Season 11. According to a theory by Screen Rant, the next faction on the show will be the Commonwealth.
