Wall Street opens down U.S. jobless, China CPI
Wall Street fell at the open on Thursday after data showed U.S. weekly jobless claims fell less than expected and Chinese consumer inflation jumped to a 16-month high in February.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 20.63 points, or 0.20 percent, at 10,546.70. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> dipped 3.03 points, or 0.26 percent, at 1,142.58. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> fell 8.24 points, or 0.35 percent, at 2,350.71.
