A 29-year-old Washington man was taken into custody Sunday for allegedly stabbing his parents to death following a dispute with his father.

The incident occurred at a home in Bonney Lake in Pierce County. A neighbor called the police at around 9:30 a.m. ET to report the stabbing. He told investigators that he saw the male victim lying facedown in the street when he looked outside after hearing a scream. He added that the victim's son was standing right next to him and was fully covered in blood, CBS 2reported.

The neighbor told deputies that when he held the accused at gunpoint, he quickly ran inside the home. The neighbor said he then heard his mother’s screams coming from inside the home.

Later, deputies found the 29-year-old man’s mother dead inside the home. His father was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead, according to Tri-City Herald. Police have neither identified the suspect nor the victims.

Pierce County Police Department sergeant Darren Moss told the Tacoma News Tribune that the family has no history with the law enforcement over domestic disputes. Police are investigating as to exactly what led to the stabbing.

The man then scolded both the children for fighting with each other and the teenager stabbed him in a fit of rage. The juvenile was taken into custody and was charged with murder.
