What Did Miranda Lambert Learn From Her Marriage To Blake Shelton?

Miranda Lambert has learned a few lessons from her marriage to Blake Shelton that she is certainly applying to her relationship with her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin. Lambert married Shelton in 2011 and the two divorced in 2015.

For Lambert, the biggest part of ensuring that her marriage to McLoughlin works is how much time the two spend together, Hollywood Life reported. To make sure this happens, McLoughlin has reportedly taken a leave of absence from the New York Police Department, to spend that much-needed time with his wife as she embarks upon her next tour.

“He has no issue joining her on tour and taking time off from work,” a source told the news outlet. He’s happy and feels very lucky that he can take the time to spend with her.

“He jumped at the chance to go on tour with her. It’s a huge relief to Miranda that Brendan is able to travel with her, because that way they don’t have to spend time apart and deal with all the issues that come from that,” the source added.

Lambert and McLoughlin are definitely doing what it takes to spend time with each other, no matter how busy their lives get. This may have been the reason that Lambert’s and Shelton’s marriage failed as the two singers’ schedules conflicted at times, especially as they toured.

“Miranda wholeheartedly believes married couples should be together as much as possible. A lot of the issues in her last marriage stemmed from having to spend so much time apart. It creates unnecessary stress,” the source said.

“With her second marriage, Miranda’s learned from that and is trying to avoid that same mistake and Brendan is on the same page.”

Not only are Lambert and McLoughlin making sure there is plenty of together-time, but the couple really enjoys being with each when they can.

They are “madly in love and both genuinely enjoy being together,” the source said. “They’re enjoying their first summer as newlyweds and they’ve been turning her tour into a fun vacation.”

Lambert and McLoughlin revealed they got married secretly in January via an Instagram post on Valentine’s Day. Shelton is currently in a relationship with Gwen Stefani. Stefani is divorced from Gavin Rossdale.
