Thomas Tuchel slammed referee Anthony Taylor for his decisions in Chelsea's controversial 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday.

Tuchel and Spurs boss Antonio Conte went nose-to-nose after a heated handshake that ended up with both receiving post-match red cards at Stamford Bridge after their Premier League fixture.

In a post-match interview, Tuchel insisted there were "no hard feelings" between himself and Conte, but the German boss was not so forgiving to referee Taylor, whom he hinted should be banned from officiating his side's games.

"It was hot from the temperature, between the benches, hot on the field and between the spectators - everything you want and hope for in a match like this early in the season. There are no hard feelings - I feel like it was a fair tackle from him and a fair tackle from me," said Tuchel about his situation with Conte that turned out to be very controversial in the end.

Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring on Sunday with his 19th minute-strike. In the lead up to Spurs' first equalizer, the Blues midfielder Kai Havertz appeared to be fouled by Rodrigo Bentancur. Chelsea's new summer signing Marc Cucurella had his hair pulled just before Harry Kane netted a 96th-minute equalizer ahead of the final whistle.

While Chelsea fans have been outspoken about Taylor's decisions that have cost their club on a number of occasions over the years, Tuchel hinted his players had begun to notice a trend of disappointing decisions too.

"I don't think just some of the fans think that. I can assure you the whole dressing room of us, every single person, thinks that. I can't understand how the first goal is not offside and I can't understand when a player is pulled by their hair, the other player stays on the pitch," Tuchel said after the draw on Sunday, according to BBC Sport.

"Pull someone else's hair, stay on the pitch, and attack the last corner. This is for me without any explanation and I don't want to accept it. Both goals should not stand and it's a fair result because we were brilliant, and deserved to win. This is my point of view," the German boss added.

After their opening two games in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign, Chelsea have four points, the same as Spurs.
