a walk to remember 2018
“A Walk To Remember,” starring Mandy Moore and Shane West, released on Jan. 25, 2002. Warner Bros. Pictures

It’s been 16 years since the much-loved adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ “A Walk To Remember” was released, and the cast has since moved on to many other projects, with three of them ruling primetime network TV. But they’ll never forget the fun they had working on the romance.

This is easily evidenced by Mandy Moore and Shane West’s sweet Throwback Thursday social media posts to remember the movie, and the characters they played, on its anniversary.

Celebrate the special occasion right along with them by seeing what they and the rest of the cast are up to now.

Mandy Moore (Jamie Sullivan)

While she makes viewers cry every time they watch “A Walk To Remember” with its sweet but tragic story, she’s now also making fans cry every Tuesday on NBC’s “This Is Us.” The show was a surprise hit when it premiered in 2016, quickly earning it a two-season renewal, giving fans plenty of time to fall in love with the characters and get emotional at every twist and turn.

Shane West (Landon Carter)

This romantic drama ended with viewers learning that West’s Landon was accepted into medical school, and then, two years later, West joined NBC’s hit series “ER” as a doctor for over 60 episodes. Later instead of healing broken bones, he became the one breaking them as a former agent on The CW’s “Nikita.” Most recently, he starred in the WGN fantasy-drama series, “Salem,” which ended in 2017, which was the same year his crime-drama film “Awakening the Zodiac” was released.

Lauren German (Belinda)

Once the jealous ex-girlfriend in this 2002 romance, German is now the kick-butt detective on Fox’s “Lucifer,” opposite Tom Ellis, heating up the screen with both bullets and chemistry. Before ruling Fox, she spearheaded the firefighter series “Chicago Fire” on NBC as a paramedic.

Clayne Crawford (Dean)

Clearly, this film was not only good to all the viewers who get to watch it and enjoy it year after year, but also to its cast members who have been taking over the world of primetime TV all these years later. Crawford is a major part of that as he heads up the “Lethal Weapon” reboot on Fox as Martin Riggs, a living-life-on-the-edge police officer. He stars opposite Damon Wayons, who plays Roger Murtaugh.

Al Thompson (Eric)

It’s been movie after movie, with a few TV shows thrown in there, for Thompson over the years. He currently has four movies in various stages of production, including action-comedy “The Stuff” and the drama “Wheels,” which focuses on an aspiring Brooklyn DJ.
