Pop sensation Taylor Swift has remained a topic of discussion since her 2008 debut with the country hit, "Tear Drops on My Guitar." After riding off the success of 2014's "1989" album, which saw the singer undergo the official transition from country starlet to pop diva, Swift won three Grammy's for her efforts in February 2016. The singer also debuted two hair makeovers, with one famously known as "goth Taylor."

However, leading into 2017 and onward, the native of Reading, Pennsylvania, has been relatively incognito.

Where has America's Sweetheart been? Here is an update on Swift's whereabouts and plans throughout 2017.

Taylor Swift's New Boyfriend

Although Swift and ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris called it quits in 2016, she's reportedly moved on with a new European lad. British actor Joe Alwyn, 26, has been confirmed in May as Swift's new beau, according to reports.

Swift is known for showing off her love in the public eye. With this new relationship, the 27-year-old has diverted from her old ways as she's managed to keep things low-profile. She has also reportedly rented a home in London to be closer to Alwyn.

Don't expect the couple to hit the red carpet together anytime soon, considering the most fans have seen of the pair is a paparazzi shot of their June coffee date. However, People reported in June that the pair visited with her family in Nashville.

"Taylor has been insanely private about her relationship with Joe," a source shared with People in June. "She wanted to get to know him without any chaos."

Back On Streaming Services

Swift has had a tumultuous relationship with online streaming services. Considering the singer has been vocal about her opposition towards them (namely Spotify for being free), fans were surprised to see the "Out of the Woods" singer return to all streaming services on June 9.

The timing of her return was conspicuous, with several publications like Spin pointing out that her comeback was the same day "Katy Perry, her foil and mortal enemy, just so happens to be releasing her new album Witness."

Coincidence? Not at all, but it's complicated.

New Music On The Way?

While the timing of Swift's return to streaming services is odd, it may be more than just a Perry thing. The "Blank Space" singer is reportedly gearing up to release her sixth studio album, which Us Weekly confirmed that it could come as early as Fall 2017. A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Swift has allegedly "been quietly recording new music for a couple of months."

Swift's close pal Ed Sheeran helped to ignite further rumors of an upcoming comeback for the pop songstress during an interview with BBC in March.

"Taylor [Swift] isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year," he told BBC. "Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records."

Taylor Swift's Ongoing Feud With Katy Perry

Swift may have told the Telegraph in 2015 that she's "never going to talk about" Perry in interviews again.

During a May appearance on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment, Corden asked Perry about her feud with Swift, which became a media attraction throughout 2014. Perry bluntly said: "Honestly, it’s really like, she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it."

Swift quietly continued the feud by saying no words at all, making a return to streaming services the day Perry's "Witness" album flopped with critics and fans alike. Nonetheless, Perry decided to "forgive" her rival in an interview with Arianna Huffington on The Thrive Global podcast June 10.

"I am ready to let it go," Perry told Huffington. "I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it's actually like, I think it's time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I'm saying?"

Taylor Swift's Changed Her Hair, Again

Swift's hair has transformed over the years. However, her most dramatic look to date is the beach blonde bob she debuted post-"1989" in 2015.

Tuesday, Swift delivered two surprises to the world. First, Swift released an unprompted congratulatory video designated for NBA MVP Russell Westbrook. However, the second surprise was that fans quickly noticed that the pop songstress' hair had returned to it's natural, curly roots.

Taylor Swift's Annual Fourth Of July Party

With Fourth of July around the corner, Swifties can probably expect her to launch her annual Independence Day celebration.

In previous years, her fun-filled parties took place at the singer's Rhode Island beach residence. The exclusive guest list has included the likes of Victoria Secret supermodels, actors, hip singers, childhood besties and her latest boyfriend by her side. Needless to say, don't expect an invite unless you're the best of the best.
