Fans who may have gotten used to seeing Jennifer Lawrence grace the big screen year after year since 2010, should prepare themselves for less JLaw as the actress has recently revealed that she intends on taking a much needed break from acting.

During an interview with the “Today” Show’s Savannah Guthrie on Thursday, Lawrence stated that she will be stepping away from the big screen. “I don’t have anything set for two years,” the star confessed.

When Guthrie asked Lawrence what she plans to do during her break, it seems the actress hadn’t thought too far ahead. “Start making pots?” she joked.

Despite seeming serious about her break, Lawrence later added that she’ll see the anchor in six months which could be possible. Although she has nothing filming for the next two years, the actress still has movies scheduled to come out in theaters.

According to IMDB, Lawrence is expected to reprise her role as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” which is filming and set to be released on Nov. 2, 2018.

She will also play Dominika Egorova, a Russian spy in the movie “Red Sparrow,” which is in post-production and expected to be released on March 2, 2018.

Lawrence is also attached to the “Bad Blood” movie where she will play Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the blood-test company Theranos. Although the film has no release date set, the script was purchased by Legendary Pictures in 2016.

To be fair, Lawrence can definitely afford to take some time off. For two years in a row, the star was named the highest paid actress in the world. In 2015, Forbes reported that the “Hunger Games” star took home $52 million, and in 2016, the star topped the list once again, raking in $46 million.

Although the actress has no set plan on how she will spend her time off, for now, she is all about promoting her upcoming movie, “Mother!,” and gushing over its director Darren Aronofsky, who happens to be her boyfriend.

During an interview with E! News, Lawrence explained that she was thrilled to work with Aronofsky, who she didn’t start dating until after filming was over. She revealed that although she thought the film was intense, she was intrigued by the director’s creativity. “I believed in the metaphor and the message that Darren wanted to get across,” she said.

“When I first read the script I thought it’s too dark. I didn’t even want the script in my house and then I realized that’s why he’s a genius. That’s why I have always wanted to work with him. He’s unafraid. He’s bold and I do agree with the message.”

While Lawrence is clearly smitten with Aronofsky’s talent and personality, one thing she won’t be doing in the next two years is starting a family. The actress admitted that as she grows older, motherhood has become less appealing to her.

When asked if she is having any bouts of baby fever, the actress revealed that having children is not something she is ready to do just yet. “Not at all. They are actually getting less and less as I get older, which is starting to worry me. I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work!” she said.

Although it is likely that fans will miss Lawrence’s quirky behavior in interviews and amazing talent on the big screen, it won’t be long until the star is back in action and making headlines everywhere.
