When Does ‘The Gifted’ Return? Season 2, Episode 10 Air Date Revealed

There’s no new episode of “The Gifted” on tonight, as the series debuted its Season 2 fall finale last week, but the wait for a new episode of the Fox superhero series isn’t too long.

The drama returns on New Year’s Day with Season 2, episode 10, titled “Enemy Of My Enemy.” There’s no official synopsis yet, but the preview trailer for the upcoming episodes teases Lorna (Emma Dumont) working with Marcos (Sean Teale) and the team again, as well as a stronger and more violent Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind).

Before “The Gifted” comes back next month, here’s a reminder of what the Season 2 fall finale was all about:

“Tensions within the Inner Circle are at an all-time high, as Andy [Percy Hynes White] comes to Rebecca’s [Anjelica Bette Fellini] defense against Reeva [Grace Byers],” the synopsis revealed of the episode. “After making an important discovery about Dr. Risman’s [Kate Burton] research, Lauren convinces Reed [Stephen Moyer] and Caitlin [Amy Acker] that they must take action to destroy it. Frustrated with not being taken seriously, Jace [Coby Bell] begins to strategize with the Purifiers. Meanwhile, the Mutant Underground continues to work on saving mutants. However, tensions flare between Blink [Jamie Chung] and Thunderbird [Blair Redford] as they confront their differences.”
