Last week, “Hawaii Five-0” aired its Season 9 fall finale — Season 9, episode 10. So, tonight, there will be no new episode of the CBS series.

The drama returns with Season 9, episode 11, titled “Hala i ke ala o'i'ole mai” (Hawaiian for “Gone on the Road from which There Is No Returning”), on Jan. 4. The episode, which was written by Matt Wheeler and David Wolkove and directed by Carl Weathers, will show how the team’s dealing with the loss of one of their own.

“Still reeling from the murder of one of their ohana, Steve [Alex O’Loughlin] and Catherine (Michelle Borth), along with Danny [Scott Caan], Junior [Beulah Koale] and some old friends, Harry Langford (Chris Vance) and Wade Gutches (David Keith), hunt down the killer,” the synopsis reveals. “Also, Tani [Meaghan Rath] and Grover [Chi McBride] investigate when a bag of human bones, discovered inside an abandoned storage locker goes missing.”

Instead of a new “Hawaii Five-0” tonight, CBS is airing a couple of episodes of “The Dick Van Dyke Show” during the 9 p.m. EST time slot. The 1961 episode, “Where Did I Come From,” and the 1965 episode, “Never Bathe on Saturday,” will be the two reruns shown tonight.

Then, get ready to start seeing some new Season 9 episodes of “Hawaii Five-0” again when the show returns on Jan. 4 on CBS at 9 p.m. EST
