‘Code Black’
Will Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) and the rest of the staff at Angels Memorial be able to step up during a citywide blackout in “Code Black” Season 2, episode 11? CBS

“Code Black” Season 2 has gone on a short winter hiatus after its 10th episode aired on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. EST.

The CBS series is expected to return on Dec. 21 with episode 11, titled “Exodus.” The doctors and staff at Angels Memorial will experience a citywide blackout that could endanger the lives of some of the patients since no generators could be used.

Dr. Will Campbell (Boris Kodjoe) and Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) will work together in diverting high-risk patients to a nearby care center. While there, the two doctors will receive help from Elliott (Noah Grey-Cabey) and Heather (Jillian Murray). However, the two get trapped inside an elevator with a woman who is about to give birth.

Meanwhile, “Exodus” will also see the residents attending to a 92-year-old patient who suffers from a certain type of memory loss. As a result, the elderly woman thinks she is still living in the 1940s. The upcoming 11th episode of “Code Black” Season 2 will also feature a series of guest stars, namely Emily Tyra as Dr. Noa Kean, Lisa Gay Hamilton as Dr. Kim Carrie, Julie Warner as Renee, Anisha Nagarajan as Serena and more.

The previous episode of “Code Black” Season 2 was a very emotional one. Dr. Guthrie (William Allen Young) discovered that he has Parkinson’s disease and was advised to tell his colleagues immediately. However, he decided not to do so in fear that he will no longer be allowed to work at Angels Memorial. But when Dr. Campbell’s 13-year-old daughter was admitted to the hospital, Dr. Guthrie was tasked to inject a needle into her head. Everyone noticed how difficult it was for the doctor to inject the needle properly so his secret came out. In the end, Dr. Guthrie decided to quit his practice, and this created division among the rest of the employees.
