NCIS CBS
“NCIS” Season 14, episode 11 will focus on MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves and Bishop. CBS

“NCIS” is currently on a two-week hiatus. The CBS series will not air an episode on either Tuesday, Dec. 20 or the next Tuesday, on Dec. 27 on account of the Christmas holidays. New episodes of the long-running crime procedural will air from Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST on wards.

Last week’s episode served as the Season 14 mid-season finale. It focused on Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard’s (David McCallum) colorful past. Adam Campbell reprised his role as a young Ducky in flashbacks. A murder case in the present was linked to the former Army doctor’s mother and her ex-lover. Fortunately, the case helped him get some peace regarding his mother’s death and a moment of happiness.

The next episode, which airs in 2017, focuses on MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) and NCIS Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop (Emily Wickersham). According to the synopsis (via SpoilerTV) of episode 11, titled “Willoughby,” the team will search for new leads after an undercover operation goes wrong. Reeves goes undercover in order to apprehend a businessman who uses acts of terror to manipulate the stock market. Unfortunately, the operation goes sideways leading to Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team stepping up in order to nab the dubious businessman.

This “NCIS” episode blends finance, terrorism and undercover work.

Although the whole team will be busy trying to catch the perpetrator, they get a little help from Bishop’s new boyfriend, Qasim Naasir (Rafi Silver). Together, the couple find a break in the case. Fans will get to know more about their relationship.

The upcoming episode also stars Pauley Perrette as forensic specialist Abby Scuito, Sean Murray as Timothy “Tim” McGee, Wilmer Valderrama as agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres, Jennifer Esposito as agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn, Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Plamer and Rocky Carroll as NCIS Director Leon Vance.

“NCIS” Season 14, episode 11 premieres Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
